like to remove black stain form corning ware, how to remove it in easier safe way?
i heard somewhere you can put coke in the pan and leave to soak for about 20 Min’s…..
sorry have not had a chance to try it as my smoke alarm is so good….
brillo or try oven cleaner
Take a dryer sheet and hot soapy water and let it soak, then clean it. I have got allot of burned on stuff out of pots and pans this way. Or you can try soaking it in bleach.
Things You’ll Need:
Let the corningwear dish soak in sudsy water with a bit of baking soda. Scrub with a non-abrasive rag and rinse. Corningware is made of a very resilient surface that is made to last, but you should be careful not to scratch colored surfaces.
Try adding a little oven cleaner or a degreaser to the rag if the stain persists. Repeat the cleaning process.
Put a stained Corningware dish in a garbage bag. Spray the surfaces with oven cleaner. Close the bag and leave set over night. Take the bag outside, and open being careful not to breathe in the fumes. Remove the dish and rinse with a garden hose before taking to your sink to scrub with soap and water.
Drop two denture cleaning tablets into the Corningware dish and add warm water to fill. When the tablets have stopped fizzing, empty the water, scrub lightly and rinse.
Use two seltzer tablets if you don’t have denture cleaner. Drop them in the water filled dish and let stand for 15 minutes before scrubbing and rinsing.
Be careful using abrasive cleaners around emblems or raised design areas, these eventually rub off.
